ACHIEVEMENTS

HE IS THE FIRST ITALIAN SURFER TO HAVE RIDED AN 18MT WAVE IN NAZARE' IN PORTUGAL (December 2015);

Roman by birth, he began surfing the waves of Santa Marinella and became one of the major exponents of the Italian movement. A great passion leads Alessandro to train and compete all over the world, crossing different places and cultures. After an intense career, in 2014 he took part in

one last surf contest “the Surf Master” in Ribeira D'ilhas and won it against the odds in favor of the locals. There he met Garrett McNamara who invited him to try the tow-in on the giant waves of Nazare. In 2015 he sets the first Italian record surfing an 18m wave thanks to McNamara who

drives the jet ski. His board is displayed on the surfer wall inside the fort with the legendary lighthouse above and even in the castle of Santa Severa (Rome) there is a room dedicated to his feat. In November 2016 he won the Red Chargers “Inspirational Awards” In February 2017 he won entry into the XXL BIG WAVE AWARDS by WSL In February 2020 he won entry into the XXL BIG WAVE AWARDS by WSL for the second time

In 2019 is chosen by LAMBORGHINI, one of the most iconic car manufacturers in the world, for the launch of the new SUV Urus model with a series of spectacular initiatives tied to the big wave surfing and where the Bolognese car manufacturer creates a unique tow-surfboard for him.

In June 2020, the first book which tells of Alessandro's adventure entitled “ONDA MAGGIORE” was published by Gribaudo Editore (La Feltrinelli group). He appeared in all national newspaper, several tv programs (rai – mediaset and sky sport) and in

several independent productions as:

His nature as a PROMOTER led him to create the ITALIA SURF EXPO event in 1999 (www.italiasurfexpo.it) which would become the point of reference for board sports enthusiasts.
