ACHIEVEMENTS

Lourenço, also known as Katz, fell in love with the ocean at four and has dedicated his life to surfing ever since. He was drawn to riding large, heavy waves breaking in shallow waters early in his career. But he had to make significant sacrifices to pursue his passion, purchase a jet ski and train relentlessly to become a skilled big wave

surfer and jet ski pilot. With eight seasons of surfing Nazaré, Lourenço has received numerous nominations and awards. Among them, he won the 2018/2019 Ride of the Year award at the EDP Mar Sem Fim Big Wave Awards and has received nominations for the WSL Big Wave Awards. His peers consider him one of the top jet ski drivers in the Nazaré line-up, where his safety skills are highly respected. After all these years working and fighting for his goals he recently rediscovered his passion for surfing and the joy it brings him with the help of his life and tow partner Hermine Bonvallet.
